Who Is Owen Flint?

Owen Flint is a member of the Faculty of Traditional Sciences at Strauss College, Cambridge University. This is the only established educational faculty in the West dedicated to the study of non-magic physics, chemistry and engineering.

The faculty was founded by Gerhard Strauss in 1794 and is housed within the college that bares his name. The founder of the modern railway, and greatest Traditional Scientist of his time, left a legacy to maintain the study of non-magic sciences for generations.

Owen Flint, as the faculty's newest member, is charged with maintaining this knowledge and further pushing the boundaries of known science for the benefit of mankind. However he is more likely to be found battling corrupt governments, foiling international conspiracies, or in the pub. What else is a young, free and single man to do in 1959?
